I had been doing Crossfit for a few years, and when our gym closed, I was left wondering what my next physical challenge might be. Lacking a coach and a group of athletes to work out with, I decided to try FGF. I wasn't sure how I would like working out with only women, but now I know that FGF is a blessing, and have made it my new home. I know I'm here for a reason. I feel valued and well taken care of. I continue to be impressed with how important it is to the coaches that each member feels welcome and appreciated, and with how much FGF gives back to their members. Makes me proud to represent FGF to the greater community!
Health and wellness are very important to me. I find that life is more enjoyable when I feel strong! I also want to be a good remodel for my clients who struggle with being motivated in life. I'm inspired to be fit, so I can be an inspiration to others. At least that’s my hope.
This is probably yet to be determined with Fittest in the Park this weekend. I am excited to see what I can accomplish there!
To become faster, and to do a successful muscle-up!!
BURPEES!!! Yep, you heard that right!
Ring dips—Yes, I know a ring dip is part of a muscle-up, but on their own, ring dips are just hard, and without the excitement that a muscle-up has.
The community, plain and simple!
Burger and sweet potato fries!
I love to enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking and camping in the summer, snowshoeing in the winter. And cuddling my little nephew (pic above).
Steven's Lake and the Coeur d'Alene River
To be from CDA, ID!
As a kid, I dreamt I’d grow up to be a professional basketball player, and even won a slam dunk contest at a 3-on-3 tournament in Montana. My prize was a basketball signed by Shaquille O'Neal.
Don't give up, we all started somewhere. The important thing is that you start! You’ll be amazed at how quickly you progress, and before long new members will look at YOU and ask themselves, “How long before I can do that?”
